Weekly women’s only groups facilitated by a psychotherapist both face to face and online. Culturally Safe and Curated for Muslim women and women of culturally diverse backgrounds.What started off as a space with many of the participants feeling very suffocated with grief, acute mental health challenges, and adversity influenced by personal, community and international events impacting wellbeing, ended up becoming a space in which all participants felt safe to share and hold each other safely.
The verbalised emotions and embodied felt sense expressed at the end of the closing of the group was that of connection, hopefulness and light-heartednes
Mission of Hope (MoH) is a not-for-profit, community organisation with a focus on health and community development.
Mission of Hope acknowledges the Darug and Eora people who are believed to be the original inhabitants of the Bankstown Canterbury area prior to colonisation. We acknowledge the intergenerational trauma and impacts Aboriginal people faced and continue to endure. Mission of Hope makes a commitment to meaningfully consult, include and represent First Nations peoples in development of services
